If the Earth Wasn't Round (ongoing since 2019)

These abstract ceramic landscapes, shaped in faience, are part of the ongoing series If the Earth Wasn’t Round.

Inspired by the shifting tones of water within the landscapes of memory, this body of work explores the ever-changing dialogue between water and land.

Through a slow and intuitive process, I seek to translate the movements, colours and rhythms of the landscape, embracing the natural qualities of clay and allowing chance to become an essential part of the making process.

Natural oxide glazes give rise to colours that echo the hues of the surrounding earth, creating subtle variations unique to each piece.

Every abstract ceramic landscape emerges through transformation, becoming a singular expression of memory, place and the quiet essence of the landscape.
