Presented during Lisbon Design Week 2025 at the invitation of PorVentura Store, Walking in Fields of Gold is an exhibition of abstract landscape paintings inspired by the rural landscapes of Alentejo, Portugal.

The exhibition began with a memory: a floodplain at sunset on Herdade da Burquilheira, where I live and work. In this landscape, gold evokes not only the beauty of the evening light but also the reality of agricultural life, reflecting the high cost of cattle feed during the dry season—an enduring challenge in Alentejo. Through abstraction, the paintings explore the relationship between landscape, memory and lived experience, inviting viewers to reflect on the emotional and material dimensions of place.
