ARTIST STATEMENT

In a state of constant movement, my multidisciplinary artistic practice revolves around the landscape format, exploring themes of identity, memory, and experience.
My work unfolds as a visual and material essay on the physical landscape, shaped by sustained observation, reflection, and the embodied experience of walking through it. I am particularly interested in how landscapes exist not only as external spaces but also as imprints in memory and imagination.
Using video, photography, and archival documentation, I record the passage of the seasons, inquiring into the essence of the landscape itself. Deeply inspired by the history of art and the Romantic tradition, I embrace my role as a Portuguese landscape artist, capturing the interplay between the seen and the remembered.
